The Briggs Soft Pod Brewer Warranty

The Briggs Coffee Company warrants its Briggs Soft Pod Brewer for 12 months to be free from any defect from the date of purchase. If your brewer fails for whatever reason in the course of normal use as described in the User Manual, Briggs will provide free replacement parts (Water Tank, Drip Tray, Pod Tray, Brew Basket) or will provide a new replacement brewer.

Can a Briggs Brewer be used in my office?

Yes. The Briggs Brewer has a commercial and household rating. In an office application we recommend adding the Briggs Autofill System so that your Briggs Brewer can supply continuous brewing without manually refilling the water tank.

We have tested soft pods from various pod suppliers and in general all pods between 8 grams and 12 grams should work well in your Briggs Brewer. Our “Shop Now” page highlights pod manufacturers that have formerly partnered with Briggs and their pod offerings have been tested and certified “Briggs Approved”.

If your dispense volume decreases over time then this is an indication that your brewer needs to be descaled. Follow the instructions in the Brewer Instruction Manual. If you have recently changed pod suppliers you may need to recalibrate your brew volumes for the new soft pods.

We recommend that largest brew volume you set be 16 ounces. That setting combined with 30 grams of ground coffee in your Briggs Brew Basket will produce a rich full sized travel mug of coffee. For single serve soft pods we recommend 8 or 10 ounce settings.

During the brew cycle we initially presoak the soft pod for 15 seconds by limiting the power to the water pump. We then increase the power to the water pump to fully dispense your selected volume. The increase in power to the water pump causes an increase in sound during the brew cycle.

A weak cup of coffee is generally the result of low coffee gram weights and loosely packed soft pods. We suggest that you balance the brew volume with your preferred taste profile. This may result in producing a cup of coffee at a lower volume but meeting your preferred taste.
